Raices Casa BienEstar

Licensed Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic

The Spanish Speaking Elderly Council-RAICES, through Raices Casa BienEstar, offers behavioral health services to adults and older adults (18 years of age and older), without regard to their race, religion, creed, color, sex, disability, national origin, sexual orientation or immigration status.

The program, through the implementation of a culturally and linguistically complement service modality, focuses on the holistic needs of Latinos, Black and low-income adults and older adults. This includes a full array of behavioral health services and support, crisis intervention services, treatment for depression and other mental health illnesses, as well as an aggressive community-based outreach modality. These services are complemented with case assistance services and the provision of effective linkages with other service providers.

The clinic is open Monday - Saturday from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and is fully staffed with licensed therapists and psychiatrists who speak English, Spanish and Creole.

Clients are referred by other RAICES programs, community agencies, hospitals and other medical facilities, schools, churches and/or courts. Many are self-referred or referred by other clients.

In keeping with RAICES' mission, our goal is to provide culturally competent treatment designed to reduce symptoms, provide on-going support, reduce hospitalizations, improve and maintain social functioning and teach clients various coping skills that will enable them to successfully handle their daily activities.
