RAICES CASA BIENESTAR
Outpatient Licensed Mental Health Clinic
Tri-fold Brochure
The
Spanish Speaking Elderly Council-RAICES, through Raíces Casa
BienEstar, offers mental health services to adults and families
(18 years of age and older), without regard to their race,
religion, creed, color, sex, handicapping condition, national
origin, sexual orientation, or immigration status.
The program, through
implementation of a culturally and linguistic competent service
modality, focuses on the holistic needs of Hispanic, Black and
low income adults. This includes a full array
of mental health services and support, crisis intervention
services, treatment for depression and other mental illnesses,
as well as, an aggressive community based outreach modality.
These services are complemented with case assistance/case
management services and the provision of effective linkages with
other service providers.
Clients are referred by
other Spanish Speaking Elderly Council-RAICES programs,
community agencies, hospitals and other medical facilities,
schools, churches and/or courts. Many are
self referred or referred by other clients.
In
keeping with RAICES’ mission, our goal is to provide culturally
competent treatment designed to reduce symptoms, provide
on-going support, reduce hospitalizations, improve and maintain
social functioning and teach clients various coping skills that
will enable them to successfully handle their daily activities.
